2026 Hajj: Kwara’s Intending Muslim Pilgrims To Pay N8.5m

The Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, on Wednesday, said intending pilgrims from the State for the 2026 Hajj exercise will pay N8.5m.

The board also announced the commencement of sale of forms for the 2026 Hajj.

The executive secretary of the Board, Alh. AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, disclosed this during a chat with newsmen in Ilorin, the state capital.

Abdulkadir explained that the total cost for the 2026 Hajj was set at N8.5m by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

He disclosed that NAHCON has allocated 3,762 slots to Kwara State.

He outlined the necessary requirements for intending pilgrims, noting the importance of having an active international passport and completing all necessary processes by the specified deadlines.

He disclosed that the state governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the initial deposit of N5m for residents of the State wishing to partake in the exercise, adding that: “They are required to balance up before 8th October, 2025, which is the deadline for payment.”
