QuickAir Networks Limited has announced a corporate restructuring and the relaunch of its domestic Global Distribution System (GDS) for Nigerian travel agents.

According to the company, as part of the restructuring, it has appointed a new leadership team. Engr. Suleiman Ibrahim has been elected chairman, bringing over 20 years of experience in technology infrastructure and aviation systems. Dr. Segun Oyebolu takes on the deputy chairman and chief executive officer roles, while Muyiwa Amoo joins as executive director, Finance and Administration.

The upgraded GDS platform gives travel agents real-time access to domestic flight inventory, competitive pricing, and booking capabilities across major Nigerian airlines. It also features instant confirmation, real-time seat availability, multi-airline fare comparison, and integrated payment solutions. The system is designed to process high transaction volumes, handling up to 10,000 concurrent users.

QuickAir said the relaunch addresses challenges in the local travel industry, including fragmented booking systems and limited access to comprehensive flight data.

Ibrahim assured existing customers that wallet balances affected by the operation suspension in December 2022 would be restored, and reconciliation would be completed within 30 days.

According to Oyebolu, the new platform is expected to cut booking time by up to 70 per cent while improving customer experience. Amoo added that the company projects the system will facilitate over ₦50 billion in domestic flight bookings within its first year.

QuickAir plans to onboard more than 5,000 travel agents nationwide in the next six months. To support the platform’s adoption, free training sessions will be held in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt. The platform is already live for registered travel agents across the country.
