Kwara United have intensified preparations for the second leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round tie against Ghana’s Asante Kotoko.
The match will take place at the MKO Abiola Sports Arena, Abeokuta, on Sunday.
The Harmony Boys lost the first leg 4-3 last Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium and will need to defeat the Ghanaian club by at least 1-0 in the return leg to progress to the second round.
The players underwent an intensive training session on Thursday in anticipation of the crucial encounter. The team is expected to travel to Abeokuta today for the game. Nigeria’s other representative in the competition, Abia Warriors, will face Djoliba of Mali in Bamako also on Sunday.
Imama Amapakabo’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by the Malians in the first leg.
