A resident of the area said the gunmen stormed the area in the early hours of Friday at about 1.20am moving from one point to the other for almost two hours without a resistance.

He lamented that throughout the operation, no security operatives came to repel them while the vigilantes were left helpless as they could not face the fire-power of the assailants who were heavily armed.

He said at the end of the operation, young persons, Abba and Anas Wanzam who had come out to join the vigilantes to repel the gunmen were brutally killed.

LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered that the gunmen kidnapped one AdulRahman Abdulrahman Danmalam.
