The Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) Ideological Group has urged the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to carry all support groups along ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The convener, BAT Ideological Group, Mr Bamidele Atoyebi, made the appeal in a statement in Lagos yesterday.

Atoyebi described the various Tinubu support groups as critical stakeholders in the electoral success of the APC.

He said the groups remained instrumental to President Bola Tinubu’s re-election efforts and should be recognised as such.

According to him, inclusion and recognition will further strengthen unity within the party and motivate grassroots mobilisation for the 2027 polls.

He said though not everyone could be given political appointment, everyone could be given a sense of belonging within the APC structure.

Atoyebi said: “We know that not everyone can be given appointments, but everyone can be carried along in the spirit of fairness and inclusion.”

He noted that Tinubu’s political philosophy emphasises collective progress and appreciation of loyal supporters.

“When leaders get appointments or opportunities, the spirit of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu teaches us to remember those who worked with us,” he said.

He said the BAT Ideological Group was inspired by Tinubu’s vision, leadership philosophy, and enduring commitment to national development.

According to him, the group has developed a handbook that captures the ideology and leadership principles of President Tinubu.

“As we approach the 2027 general elections, it is imperative for the APC to carry along all critical stakeholders to ensure total victory,” he said.

He stressed the need for the party to adequately reward loyal members who might have been neglected after the 2023 elections.

Atoyebi urged the APC to consolidate its internal harmony by recognising the efforts of all who contributed to Tinubu’s emergence in 2023.

He said the group would continue to work with APC leadership at all levels to deliver victory for Tinubu’s second term bid.

According to him, Tinubu’s reform agenda requires continuity, and every member must play a part in ensuring its success.

“We may not all be appointed, but we can all be carried along.

“This is the Asiwaju Tinubu way, this is the APC way, and this is the future we must build together by lifting one another,” Atoyebi added.(NAN)
