The anti-graft commission is expected to complement the effort of other agencies in fighting corruption in the state.

The legislators argued that the agency would promote accountability and transparency as well as address financial crimes when assented in to law in the state.

The legislation entitled “a bill for a law to provide for the establishment of the Adamawa State Anti Corruption Commission”, was sponsored by Hon. Abubakar Isa (Shelleng constituency).

The passage followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Committee on Judiciary and Entrepreneurship Development headed by the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Pwamwakeno Mackondo (Numan), last week.
