A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) group, G6 Vanguard, has demanded the immediate expulsion of Haruna Muhammad Jungudo who was picked as Bauchi State PDP chairman by the camp loyal to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister, Nyesom Wike.
The group accused the Jungudo of misconduct and anti-party activities.
Speaking to our correspondent in Bauchi on Monday, publicity secretary of G6 Vanguard, Isyaku Adamu, alleged Jungudo has persistently worked against the party’s interests and allegedly sabotaged its structures across the state and local government levels.
He said Jungudo has repeatedly ignored party directives, openly fraternised with opposition camps, and sponsored media attacks targeted at discrediting PDP leadership, actions that the group insists amount to gross indiscipline and violations of party ethics.
“The PDP remains a party built on discipline, loyalty and respect for constituted leadership. No individual, regardless of position or influence, should be allowed to weaken the structures we have collectively worked hard to build,” Adamu said.
He revealed that it has gathered what it described as documented evidence showing Jungudo’s involvement in activities that counter PDP’s constitution and electoral strategies, especially during recent elections where he was accused of working against party candidates.
Calling for a decisive disciplinary measure, Adamu urged both the State Working Committee (SWC) and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP to enforce Sections 58 and 59 of the PDP Constitution, which provide grounds for sanctioning members involved in misconduct and anti-party behavior.
“Our demand is simple: the party must act decisively. Hon. Jungudo’s behavior is not only embarrassing but also dangerous to the unity of the PDP. The disciplinary organs must demonstrate leadership by enforcing the rules without favoritism,” he emphasised.
