The Nigerian women’s national football team, the Super Falcons, has fallen one place to 37th in the latest FIFA Women’s World Ranking, released on Thursday by the sport’s global governing body.

The Super Falcons were inactive during the recent FIFA international break, which is likely a factor in their slight decline from their previous 36th position.

Despite this global drop, Nigeria has maintained its standing as the top-ranked team in Africa. The continent’s top five is completed by South Africa’s Banyana Banyana, Ghana’s Black Princesses, Zambia’s Copper Queens, and the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.
