The Oil and Gas Academy Alkaleri, Bauchi State (OGAABS), has organised a three-day induction course for over 30 newly employed non-academic staff to equip them with fundamental knowledge of Registry, Bursary and Library operations.
The induction programme, which took place at Yankari Games Reserve, was designed to familiarise participants with their responsibilities within the academic environment.
At the closing ceremony, the rector of the academy, Dr Ahmad Sulaiman Yero, stated that the training was designed to prepare the new staff for the challenges of academic administration and enhance efficiency across departments.
Yero described the induction as timely and impactful, noting that it exposed participants to the rudiments of their respective assignments. He expressed confidence that the trainees would apply the knowledge acquired in the discharge of their duties.
The rector warned that management would hold participants accountable for performance, considering the huge investment made by the state government in their recruitment and training.
