Foundation Hosts Charity Programme For The Less Privileged

The charity and needs people’s unit of House On The Rock Church, Rock Foundation, on Saturday reiterated its commitment to support underserved communities through practical care that responds to the real needs of less privileged Nigerians.

This, they said, is being done through her annually laudable Community Social Responsibility (CSR), done in different ways like feeding initiatives, empowerment programmes, healthcare support, community outreach and care for vulnerable groups across Lagos.

The senior pastor, Paul Adefarasin, noted that this love season, his many charity projects for the very needy Nigerians, include an end-of-the-year party for senior citizens organised by the “Woman to Woman Ministry”, alongside ongoing feeding and community support efforts.

These initiatives, he said, reflect a simple but consistent posture: showing up for people, thoughtfully and responsibly, across seasons.

“Project Spread is one such expression of that care. Held annually during the Christmas period, it focuses on easing the additional pressure many families experience at a time that is often assumed to be joyful, but can also be financially and emotionally demanding.

“For many households, the festive season comes with difficult choices, between food, essentials and maintaining a sense of dignity. Project Spread exists to ease that burden, even if briefly, by providing practical support delivered with care and respect,” he explained.

This year, “Project Spread”, held at the church premises in Lekki, Lagos and all its branches in Lagos, had a very massive attendance from the less privileged and needy Nigerians. It was highly welcomed outreach for families across several Lagos communities, slums and urban centres, including Lekki, Surulere, Victoria Island, among others.

Adefarasin, the metropolitan senior pastor of House On The Rock, was represented by his wife and an assistant pastor of the church, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin.
