Kebbi State First Lady, Hajia Zainab Nasare Nasir, has donated ₦5 million and 500 bags of rice to the widows of deceased mobile police officers.

Hajia Nasir, who was represented by Hajiya Uwani Usman Ankwai, described their late husbands as heroes.

Nasir stated this when she visited police barracks in Birnin Kebbi to provide support to the families of the slain police personnel.

“We pray that God grants the departed officers mercy for their sacrifices,” Hajiya Uwani Ankwai said. “We urge the widows to maintain their children’s moral and educational upbringing.”

CSP Usman Shahu, who represented the state Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Sani, at the event, commended the First Lady’s kindness.

Representing the widows and Police Officers’ Wives’ Association (POWA), Mrs Hannah Dogo Son and Mrs Nachana’a Usman, thanked Hajia Nasir for the relief items, describing her as “a kind-hearted personality, enhancing our welfare and Christmas celebration”.

The gesture was seen as a morale boost, with the First Lady thanking officers and families for supporting the administration.
