A traditional ruler, Chief Yakanaje of the Margi tribe, in Uke Karu, local government area, Nasarawa State, Alhaji Sani Ali, has called on Nigerians to appreciate the importance of development for their communities.
He gave the advice at his palace in Nasarawa State yesterday, stating that community efforts will accelerate the development of villages.
The monarch, who stated that the government alone can’t meet every community’s need, said, “Indigenes, both at home and abroad, are to do their best to develop their communities by working with the leaders there to meet their needs. This is part of what to do to ensure development.”
He emphasised that ‘Margi Tribe’ is not a parasite but a struggler, adding that the people are always ready to do what will help themselves and build the society.
The traditional ruler said he remains grateful to God Almighty for making their life productive.
According to him, “The Margi tribe can be found in both Borno and Adamawa states.
We are calling on all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to always ask God for His divine mercy in order to overcome every challenge.”
