The Police in Nasarawa State have rescued three kidnap victims in Lafia local government area of the state.

The victims, two females and a male, were rescued from Angara and Fadaman Bauna villages by the Assakio Division of the Nasarawa State Police Command.

According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel, the operations were carried out in collaboration with local vigilantes.

SP Nansel told journalists in Lafia on Friday that the victims were rescued, medically examined and reunited with their families.

Giving details of the abduction and eventual rescue, SP Nansel explained that the operations followed a complaint lodged at the division by some community members that suspected kidnappers invaded Angara village and abducted two females, leaving behind an infant, and later kidnapped another male in the same village.
