The Acting Commander Sector 4 Operation Hadin Kai and Commander 23 Brigade, Brigadier General Amaechi Agwu, has reaffirmed the sector’s commitment to providing adequate security for the good people of Adamawa State and environs.
Agwu made this known during the courtesy visits by the Comptroller of Immigration (CI), Adamawa State Command, CI Sani Jega and the Executive Vice Chairman, Adamawa State Peace Commission (ASPC), Dr Jemila Suleman to Headquarters 23 Brigade on Friday.
He described the security situation in Adamawa State as relatively calm and under control, acknowledging the collective efforts of all security agencies in the state, applauding the state government’s disposition, cooperation and support to the security agencies in Adamawa State.
Brigadier General Agwu assured both the Comptroller of Immigration and the Executive Vice Chairman, ASPC of the Sector’s continued support to the Agencies to ensure the security of life and properties.
In his remarks, the Comptroller of Immigration commended the Sector for the enhanced synergy among the security agencies within the State, and further commended the sector for the pivotal role in coordinating all the security agencies in the pursuit of a secure environment across the state.
CI Jega sought the support of the Sector/Brigade, especially at the border line, for the men and officers of the Nigerian Immigration Service for enhanced smooth operation.
Speaking during the visit, the executive vice chairman, ASPC, Dr Jemila Suleman, said the commission deemed it necessary to embark on the courtesy call on the acting commander because of the link between the security agencies and building of peace in the society.
Dr Suleiman emphasised the establishment and maintenance of cordial relationships between the Commission and the Sector to make the ASPC’s duties easier in building peace in Adamawa State.
The executive vice chairman stated that the Commission was established in July 2025 and solicited the support of the Sector/ Brigade for the successful discharge of its duties.
