As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a popular entertainment/relaxation outfit, Road House Event Centre, has constructed and donated a fully equipped police outpost to its host community in Jalingo, the capital of Taraba State, to enhance security and reduce crime in the area.

The outpost, located in the Lassandi area of the locality, is equipped with basic facilities, including a water reservoir and solar-powered lighting, as well as two motorcycles to support effective operations and prompt response to emergencies by police personnel deployed to the outpost.

The land which the structure stands on was donated by the Catholic Diocese of Jalingo, and is located about 300 meters away from the relaxation spot.

At the commissioning ceremony, the state commissioner of police, CP Betty Isokpan Enekpen Otimenyin, commended the management of the centre for the contribution to public safety.

The Commissioner of Police, who was represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police – Administration, Garba Umar, said the outpost was built out of genuine concern for the safety of lives and property of residents of the locality.

CP Otimenyin assured residents that, the officers deployed to the facility would ensure the security of the area and urged members of the public to support the police by reporting suspicious activities promptly.

The chairman of Jalingo local government area, Hon. Nura Dantsoho, also applauded the donor for complementing government efforts at curbing crime in the state.

He noted that, the project would strengthen the local security architecture and add value to ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property and charged officers posted to the outpost to be diligent, focus and committed to duty.

Danysoho further commended Governor Agbu Kefas for providing an enabling environment for peace and investment in the state, and stressed that, security should not be left to government alone.
