The tour train of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri across the 21 local government areas of Adamawa State arrived in Guyuk Local Government Area on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, where the Governor announced key infrastructure interventions, including rural electrification and road construction, as part of efforts to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.

During the visit, Governor Fintiri promised to connect Bobini and Bodeno wards to the national electricity grid and also flagged off the construction of the eight-kilometre Banjiram–Chikila Road.

He further pledged the construction of two and a half kilometres of township roads within the Guyuk metropolitan area, noting that the projects align with his administration’s broader development agenda.

Governor Fintiri directed the Commissioner for Rural Infrastructure and Community Development, Mr. Titus Obadiah, to ensure that Bobini and Bodeno wards are connected to the national grid within the next six months.

The directive followed appeals from community leaders and government officials, who lamented that the two wards have lived without electricity and other basic social amenities since their creation several decades ago.

The long-awaited construction of the Banjiram–Chikila Road also featured prominently during the visit, following repeated demands from the people.

The Governor officially flagged off the project, describing it as critical to improving access, boosting economic activities, and easing transportation challenges in the area.

Governor Fintiri also urged the Commissioner for Water Resources to fast-track the ongoing water supply project in Guyuk and ensure that households have access to potable water.

He further assured residents that the second phase of the rehabilitation of Guyuk Cottage Hospital would soon commence, explaining that the project is aimed at upgrading the facility into a fully fledged General Hospital.

Gov. Fintiri  called on the people of Guyuk to sustain their support and confidence in his leadership, assuring them that he would not betray their trust.
