Caleb University at Imota, Lagos, has conferred degrees on a total of 1,924 students at its 15th convocation as the wife of eminent cleric Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Foluke Adenike Adeboye, fondly called Mummy GO was honoured with an honorary doctorate degree (PhD).

The graduating class comprised 1,625 undergraduates, 299 postgraduate students and 22 doctoral candidates, in what has been widely described as one of the most remarkable convocations in the university’s history.

At the heart of the celebration was a harvest of distinction: 96 undergraduates earned First Class honours, 719 earned Second Class Upper Division, another 719 earned Second Class Lower Division, while 82 graduated with Third Class degrees.

In the postgraduate cadre, 46 students bagged distinctions, 143 made merit, and 88 earned pass grades — further affirming Caleb University’s sustained culture of academic rigour.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Olalekan Asikhia, in his address, congratulated the graduates and described the moment as “a defining chapter in Caleb’s unstoppable ascent in Nigeria’s higher education ecosystem.”

He reiterated that since assuming office on June 2, 2025, his administration has been driven by a Seven-Point Agenda anchored on creating a godly environment for dream fulfilment, ensuring academic excellence, deepening research and innovation, expanding local and international collaborations, strengthening institutional governance, promoting entrepreneurship and sustainability, and advancing climate and environmental responsibility.

‎“Our vision,” he affirmed, “is to produce graduates who are not just certificate holders but solution providers, innovators and nation-builders.”

‎Under his leadership, the University has recorded significant milestones, including the successful hosting of the 2025 Employability Fair themed “Preparing Graduates for the World of Work,” where several students secured internships and job offers. Fresh student enrollment for the 2025/2026 academic session reached an impressive 3,616 as of November 30, 2025, supported by a nationwide marketing expansion across all six geopolitical zones.

‎The convocation was further elevated by the conferment of honorary and doctoral recognitions on distinguished personalities whose lives exemplify integrity, service and spiritual leadership.

‎Among the celebrated honourees was  Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adenike Adeboye fondly called Mummy G.O., the pastor and wife of revered Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

In glowing tributes, dignitaries described her as “a matriarch of grace and discipline, a guardian of values, and a timeless symbol of dignity.”
