Zamfara APC Calls For Calm Over Publicity Secretary’s Arrest

The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Malam Yusuf Idris-Gusau, was arrested in Gusau, the state capital, on Tuesday.

The State Welfare Secretary of the party, Alhaji Bashir Ataka, who confirmed Idris’ arrest by the security operatives urged APC members in the state to remain calm and law abiding.

“Yes, our Publicity Secretary, Malam Yusuf Idris was arrested on Tuesday in Gusau at his residence by some security operatives.”

According to him, Idris is now in the Police Headquarters for interrogation.

“We are now with him at the police headquarters, Gusau,” he added

Ataka, however, called on APC members in the state to remain calm and law-abiding. (NAN)
