Mr. Eyitayo Oyeniyi Ojemola on Monday assumed office as the fourth substantive registrar of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State.
A release by the head, Information, Protocol & Public Relations of the institution, Mr Adewale Havilah Sam-Aliyu, stated that the governing council of the institution at its 121st meeting held on Thursday, 19 February, 2026 approved his appointment.
According to Sam-Aliyu, Ojemola assumption of office marks a significant milestone in the institution’s administrative evolution and its continued commitment to godly leadership, governance excellence, and institutional integrity.
“Mr. Ojemola is a distinguished professional university administrator, governance and faith-driven institutional leader with over twenty-five (25) years of meritorious service across the public and private sectors, including seventeen (17) years of dedicated administrative leadership at Bowen.
“Prior to his appointment, he served as deputy registrar and special assistant to the vice-chancellor, where he provided strategic coordination across the university’s governance structures. His tenure in this role was characterised by diligence, discretion, and an unwavering commitment to institutional order and policy compliance.
“Eyitayo earned a Master’s degree in Managerial Psychology from the University of Ibadan. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and History from the University of Ilorin, as well as a Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) awarded by Obafemi Awolowo University. His professional development is further strengthened by certifications in computer studies, leadership development, and theological training.
“Beyond the university, Eyitayo serves the nation with disciplined responsibility as a chief superintendent of police (CSP) in the Nigeria Police Supernumerary Unit. His broader community and church engagements span decades of Baptist leadership, discipleship training, youth development, and civic service, underscoring a life deeply rooted in Christian service.
The university community expressed confidence that his appointment will further consolidate Bowen’s reputation as a leading faith-based institution committed to integrity, innovation, and academic distinction.
