Niger State governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has extolled the virtues of the Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umar Farouk Bahago, who marked his 68th birthday and 38th year on the throne.
In a message signed by his chief press secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor described the emir as peaceful, calm, and humble.
He lauded the monarch for his sustained efforts to uphold the sacredness of the throne and to ensure peaceful coexistence and tolerance among his subjects over almost four decades of his rule.
Bago also acknowledged the contributions of the traditional ruler to the success of his administration and making Niger State great.
He prayed that the celebrant would witness more years filled with limitless blessings from Allah, good health, and great wisdom to continue to rule his subject better.
He also prayed that Allah would grant the Emir a longer and more successful reign than his forefathers.
The governor reassured that his administration would continue to support the Emir to mitigate the havoc wreaked on some communities under the Minna Emirate by terrorists, saying that government would evolve strategies that will address the security challenges and improve the lives of the people.
