Nigeria’s progressive political party, Accord, has upgraded the digital platform for its ongoing nationwide membership e-registration and revalidation exercise as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

The exercise, which commenced on March 4, 2026, is aimed at expanding the party’s membership base across the country and among Nigerians in the diaspora.

In a statement issued by the National Chairman of Accord, Maxwell Mgbudem, the party announced that the new registration portal is now available.

According to him, the upgraded platform is designed to provide a more seamless and secure registration process for members and prospective entrants into the party.

Mgbudem explained that members who had previously registered on the former platform would not be required to register again, provided they entered the correct National Identification Number (NIN) during their earlier registration. He assured that such members’ data would automatically be integrated into the new system.

The party leadership also called on ward, local government, and zonal executives nationwide to intensify efforts to mobilise members for the exercise. They were urged to embark on an aggressive membership drive to ensure that existing members, Nigerians in the diaspora, and new entrants are duly registered on the platform.

According to the statement, the leadership emphasised that time is of the essence, stressing that the ongoing exercise is critical to strengthening the party’s organisational structure ahead of the next electoral cycle.

The national chairman further reiterated that Accord remains a dependable platform for Nigerians who wish to contest elective positions in the 2027 general election. He noted that the upcoming polls present another opportunity for citizens to unite in their collective aspiration for a stronger and more prosperous democratic nation.

“The upcoming elections provide another opportunity for citizens to be in one accord in our collective quest for a strong, virile, progressive, prosperous and equitable democratic nation,” the statement read.

The party also called on Nigerians across the country to participate actively in building a better future for the nation, emphasizing the need for unity and collective responsibility in shaping the country’s democratic development.

“It is time to build a better and greater Nigeria that future generations will be proud of,” the statement added.

Accord concluded by reaffirming its guiding principles of Oneness and Progress, pledging continued commitment to democratic ideals and inclusive political participation as the country moves toward the 2027 general elections.
