Nigerian internationals Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu have been recognised for their outstanding performances, securing places in the Turkish Super Lig Team of the Week following matchday 26.
The duo were instrumental in securing vital victories for their respective clubs over the weekend. Osimhen continued his prolific form in the Istanbul derby, netting the decisive goal to give Galatasaray a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Besiktas. The strike takes the Super Eagles forward’s league tally to an impressive 11 goals for the season.
Meanwhile, in Trabzon, Paul Onuachu delivered a masterclass in front of goal. The towering striker scored twice to lead Trabzonspor to a dominant 3-1 win against Kayserispor.
Onuachu has been in breathtaking form throughout the campaign, having now found the back of the net 20 times in just 22 league appearances for the Black Sea Storm.
Fellow Nigerian Ibrahim Olawoyin also earned recognition for his contributions, rounding out a successful weekend for the country’s contingent in the Turkish top flight.
