Governor AbdulRazaq Apostle Of Politics Without Bitterness, Achievements Unprecedented – Preachers

A prominent Muslim preacher, Sheikh Uthman  Sanu Shehu on Tuesday described the Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman  as apostle of politics without bitterness.

This is even as another fierce preacher, Sheikh Buhari Musa described the governor ‘s achievements as unprecedented in the history of the state.

The two popular  clerics spoke at the grand finale of this year’s AbdulRahaman AbdulRazaq  Ramadan Lecture series held at the A.G.F AbdulRazaq’s residence, Surulere, Ilorin.

Sheikh Sanu Shehu recalled how the governor extended hand of fellowship to him during the funeral of his mother, not minding his then relationship with an opposition political figure in the state.

He urged politicians in the state to emulate the exemplary conduct of Governor AbdulRazaq by shunning politics of bitterness.

” Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is apostle of politics without bitterness. He goes out of his way to cultivate friendship with all manner of people, including those considered as his political enemies, ” Shehu said.

For his part, Sheikh Buhari Musa described the governor as a good leader.

” Governor AbdulRazaq  is a good leader. His achievements surpassed those of his predecessors. He understands the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and he’s applying them in the running of the affairs of the state,” Sheikh Buhari said.

He enjoined the governor to shun distraction and continue his good work, adding that,” the governor  has excelled in the area of road construction. He has ensured the wellbeing of the people. He should not be distracted. Nobody is perfect, but the governor is doing very well. ”

A delegation led by Hon. Kale Oloje represented Ambassador Yahaya Seriki at the event.

 

Dignitaries that attended the lecture include the senior adviser and counselor, Alh Saadu Salahu, Dr Ghali Alaaya, Engr.  Rahman Giwa, Alh Mashood Gobir, commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Afeez Abolore, special adviser( Special Duties), Alh AbdulRazaq Jiddah, special adviser( Media), Alh Bashir Adigun, senior special assistant on Religion ( Islam), Alh Ibrahim Danmaigoro, Alh Usman Bibire Ajape, Hon. Hassan Gegele, and the coordinator, Kwara Central APC Elders Caucus, Alh Razaq Lawal.

 

Others are Dr Rabiat Alabere, Dr Yetunde Yusuf, State APC women leader, Alhaja Falilat Mohammed, ex- permanent secretary, Alhaja Mopelola AbdulRahman, chairman, League of Veteran Journalists, Alh Tunde Akanbi, chairman, State Community Policing, Alh Abdullahi Yusuf, regional editor of LEADERSHIP newspapers, Alh Abdullahi Olesin, and some traditional chiefs from Ilorin Emirate.
