With just eight days remaining until the start of the 3rd National Para Games, excitement is building around Para Table Tennis—one of the most dynamic and fast-paced attractions of the competition.

Set to take centre stage in Abuja, the event is expected to deliver a thrilling showcase of elite para-sport.

Para Table Tennis will feature 18 medal events, with athletes competing in both wheelchair and standing classifications.

The competition spans several classes, ensuring inclusivity and fairness while highlighting the depth of talent, technical ability and resilience among participants.

Widely admired for its intensity, the sport combines lightning-fast reflexes with strategic gameplay.

Fans can look forward to gripping contests filled with rapid rallies and high-level tactical exchanges, underlining the extensive preparation undertaken by the athletes.

The sport continues to grow in stature in Nigeria, consistently producing athletes who excel at continental and global levels.

Abuja 2026 is expected to serve as a crucial platform for talent identification and development, while offering competitors a chance to position themselves for future international championships.

Scheduled to run from 26 March to 3 April 2026, the 3rd National Para Games will bring together more than 3,000 athletes from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

Participants will compete across 15 para sports in what promises to be a powerful celebration of resilience, inclusion and sporting excellence.
