The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said President Bola Tinubu was facing a difficult political dilemma over the choice of Vice President Kashim Shettima as his running mate ahead of the 2027 general election.
Ayodele, in a video circulating on social media on Wednesday, claimed that the President was caught at a major crossroads, warning that either retaining or dropping Shettima as running mate on the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential ticket in 2027 could come with serious political consequences.
“Tinubu removing Shettima will not pay him, keeping Shettima will not pay him.
“He’s at a dilemma, a very big crossroad, he’s confused,” the cleric declared while addressing a congregation.
Ayodele further said Tinubu would likely come under pressure from political associates and advisers who may push him toward making a difficult decision regarding the vice-presidential slot.
“People will advise him.
“And it is impossible not to remove him,” Ayodele stated.
He added that even if Tinubu eventually decides to drop the vice president and make efforts to calm the political fallout, the move would still leave wounds that may be hard to heal.
“And in removing him, there’s no way you will pacify him that it will not pain him,” he said.
LEADERSHIP reports that Primate Ayodele has recently made a series of prophecies about political gladiators and possible outcomes of the 2027 contests, a development that has stirred controversies.
