Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has approved the deployment of 17 permanent secretaries across key Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in a move aimed at strengthening governance efficiency and improving service delivery.

The Head of Civil Service, Professor Mu’azu Shehu, who conveyed the governor’s approval, said the postings align with the administration’s commitment to effective public service management, continuity in governance and the entrenchment of professionalism in the civil service.

According to him, the redeployment is designed to optimize institutional performance, deepen policy coordination and further align government operations with Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s vision of a responsive, result-driven and people-oriented public service.

Under the new postings, Alhaji Jalo Ibrahim Ali was moved to the Ministry of Finance and will also oversee the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, while Idris Yambiu Buba was assigned to the Ministry of Health with oversight of the Ministry of Higher Education.

Mohammed Mohammed Galadima takes charge of the Ministry of Information and continues oversight of Science, Technology and Innovation, as Danladi Adamu remains at the Ministry of Works, Housing and Transport.

Larai Maigari was posted to the Establishment and Service Matters Department in the Office of the Head of Service, while Suleiman Musa Kwami moved to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources with additional oversight of the Civil Service Commission.

Abubakar Hassan was deployed to the Ministry of Education and retains oversight of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms.

Similarly, Salisu Adamu Sambo continues in Special Services and Political Affairs, overseeing Cabinet and General Duties, while Shuaibu Ibrahim was posted to the Ministry of Local Government and continues oversight of the Teachers Service Commission.

Also affected in the redeployment are Abubakar Babayo Hassan, now posted to the Local Government Service Commission; Moh’d Ismail Hinna, who remains in the Ministry of Justice; and Muhammad Bello Abubakar Kumo, who continues at the Ministry of Water Resources, Environment and Forestry. Alhassan Ibrahim also remains at Government House.

Ahmed Sa’eed Guli was posted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry and will oversee the Ministry of Internal Security and Ethical Orientation, while Dr. Lawan Bala moves to the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development with additional oversight of the Ministry of Women and Social Development.

Professor Shehu said all postings take immediate effect, urging the affected permanent secretaries to bring their experience and sustain the administration’s development agenda.
