The federal government has warned Nigerians to stay away from a purportedĀ  investment fund programme making the rounds with the aim to defraud the citizens.

This warning came via a statement issued yesterday by the head of Corporate Affairs and External Relations of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Hadiza Umar.

Part of the statement read ā€œThe attention of NITDA has been drawn to an investment fund programme named ā€œNational Startup Investment Fund Programme accessible via (https://nationalstartupinvestmentfund.com) being purported to be from the Federal Government and requesting for individuals and startups to apply.

ā€œNITDA is hereby notifying the general public that the Federal Government has nothing to do with this programme as being purported by the site.
