FG Names Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham In National Women’s Committee

The Federal Government has named top Nollywood actresses, including Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, and Joke Silva, as members of the entertainment committee for the 2026 National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally.

The event, themed “The Power of 10 Million,” is being organised by the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs. It is designed to bring together 10 million women at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja on May 5, 2026, to showcase the creative and economic potential of Nigerian women.

According to a statement from the organisers, the committee will be responsible for the creative and cultural activities of the gathering. The team is chaired by actresses Rahama Sadau and Eniola Badmus, alongside Tola Akerele and Ngozi Okoh.
Other notable members include veteran stars such as Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje), Toyin Adegbola, and Remi Oshodi.
