Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), on Monday inaugurated 36 coordinators to expand his campaign structure ahead of the party’s primary.

The inauguration, according to him, was also to intensify nationwide stakeholder engagements to support the ADC membership registration drive.

A statement by the aspirant’s media office in Abuja said the inauguration took place at his Abuja campaign office, marking it a strategic shift toward full-scale grassroots mobilisation ahead of 2027 general elections.

The statement said the coordinators, drawn from Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, were expected to strengthen state structures, expand campaign reach, and deepen citizen engagement nationwide.

Speaking during the inauguration, Hayatu-Deen described the development as a critical milestone toward building a credible national alternative for Nigerians.

He said the movement represented more than a campaign, describing it as a national platform anchored on competence, integrity, and measurable results.

Hayatu-Deen said continued stakeholder engagements and support for ADC registration underscored the campaign’s commitment to reaching every state, community, and citizen.

According to him, growing national traction reflected increasing public demand for leadership that understands citizens’ struggles and delivers practical solutions.

He urged the coordinators to remain disciplined, focused, and committed to promoting safety, opportunity, and accountable governance at the grassroots.

Hayatu-Deen stressed that the movement would be judged by its organisation, conduct, professionalism, and ability to redefine political engagement.

The national coordinator, Mr Usman Song, described the inauguration as a transition from vision to structured national mobilisation.

Song said each coordinator represented the movement’s face in their states and must bridge its vision with citizens’ expectations.

He emphasised that the campaign was built on discipline, credibility, structure, and strategic organisation.

Song charged the coordinators to prioritise listening, trust-building, and genuine engagement as essential tools for building a strong political movement.
