Nollywood actress Blessing Onwukwe, popularly known as Mama Monica, in the Monica movie, has revealed that her role in the trending movie Monica 2 earned her over N1 million, marking her highest payout for a single film project to date.

The movie, produced by Uche Montana, has become a viral sensation on YouTube, reportedly garnering over 6 million views in its first 24 hours of release. Speaking in a recent interview with Yanga FM, Onwukwe expressed her satisfaction with the project’s success and the professional appreciation shown by the producers.

When asked if the payment was her largest yet, the actress clarified the difference between long-running series and standalone films.

“When it has to do with series, it is bulk money. But for a film, and a YouTube film, you can say this is the highest one-time payment I have received,” she stated.

Sharing insights into the production process, Onwukwe disclosed that Monica 2 was completed in just seven days, while the first instalment, Monica 1, was shot in five days.
