Tinubu Is A Prepared Leader Focused On Repositioning Nigeria – Akume

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a visionary and prepared leader committed to repositioning Nigeria on the global stage through bold reforms and strategic leadership.

Akume stated that there is a clear distinction between merely occupying the office of the President and providing purposeful leadership, stressing that President Tinubu embodies a leadership style driven by vision, courage, experience, and a strong commitment to national transformation.

The SGF made the remarks during the unveiling of the London Boy Movement, a political support group backing the 2027 governorship ambition of APC stalwart, Senator Ahmed Wadada Alihu, in Nasarawa State.

Represented at the event by his Technical Assistant, Professor Babatunde Bolaji, Akume said President Tinubu embodies the qualities Nigeria currently needs in a leader, particularly preparedness, foresight, and the capacity to confront long-standing national challenges.

Speaking earlier, Chairman of the London Boy Movement, Stephen Abraham, said the movement emerged from the realisation that many communities have remained trapped in outdated political thinking driven by sentiment rather than strategy.

According to him, the group believes in grassroots education, youth mobilisation, and connecting diaspora experience with local development, while insisting that leadership should be earned through preparation and competence.

Similarly, the Director General of the London Boy Movement, Joseph Maiwada, described the unveiling as the birth of a transformational vision rooted in competence, courage, and strategic governance.

“A” the centre of that vision stands Senator Ahmed Wadada Alihu,” he said.

Maiwada explained that the movement is built on three key convictions — tested, trusted, and ready — emphasising that Nasarawa State cannot afford political experimentation at this stage of its development.

He described the movement as a bridge between aspiration and strategic governance, particularly for young people seeking purposeful leadership.

According to him, Senator Wadada is not new to public service, having served in the House of Representatives and currently in the Nigerian Senate, where he chairs the Senate Public Accounts Committee.

“T” is a man who understands governance, budgeting, accountability, and how government works. For Nasarawa State, that experience matters because the next phase of the State’s development must be entrusted to tested leadership,” he stated.

Maiwada added that Wadada combines grassroots connection with national reach, noting that he understands both the realities of Nasarawa State and the corridors of federal power where partnerships and development opportunities are secured.

He stressed that leadership is not merely about holding titles but about delivering impact through empowerment, healthcare interventions, opportunities for young people, and strategic governance.

Also speaking on behalf of Senator Ahmed Wadada Alihu, Emmanuel Bako described the lawmaker as a liberal, accessible, and understanding leader who relates freely with people across all divides.

According to him, Wadada represents tested capacity, strategic governance, and leadership beyond propaganda or emotional politics.

“O”r movement believes Nasarawa deserves leadership beyond sentiment, tribe, division, and empty promises. We need leadership that can unify, negotiate, and deliver,” he said.

Bako added that modern leadership requires a balance between grassroots understanding and global outlook, noting that the London Boy narrative seeks to project Wadada as a leader capable of attracting investment, development, and strategic partnerships to Nasarawa State.

He maintained that the senator’s popularity is rooted not only in political messaging but also in accessibility, consistency, philanthropy, grassroots mobilisation, business engagement, and legislative experience.

He further unveiled key components of WaWadada’s development agenda, including rural and urban development, trade and industrialisation, investment promotion, security, and a stronger social contract between the government and the people.

According to him, the “London Boy” Logan is gradually evolving into a broader political movement centred on continuity, modernisation, development, innovation, and the future growth of Nasarawa State.
