Benue: APC Clears Speaker, Others, Disqualifies 41 Assembly Aspirants

The Benue State All Progressives Congress (APC), House of Assembly Screening Committee, has cleared the Speaker State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Berger Alfred Emberga and others, disqualifying 41 aspirants.

One of the Benue State APC officials who pleaded anonymity told LEADERSHIP that, “136 aspirants bought State House of Assembly forms. After the screening 41 were disqualified.”

A brief statement issued by APC Benue State Organising Secretary, James Ornguga, announced the release of the party’s assembly aspirants’ screening report in the state.

According to Ornguga, “The State Assembly Screening Committee hereby announces the release of its report in Benue State.

“Find attached, details of all successful and unsuccessful aspirants in the exercise as released by the Committee Chairman, Dr. Auwalu Ishiye and his Secretary, Barr. Tijani Abdullah.”
