A newborn baby who was reported missing in Kaura Namoda local government area of Zamfara State has been found in Banga village after days of intensive search efforts.
In a statement by the information officer, State Ministry of Health, Suleiman Isah, the commissioner of Health, Dr Nafisa Muhammad, appreciated security agencies, the chairman of Kaura Namoda LGA, Mannir Mu’azu Haida, and the Kaura Namoda Emirate Council for their dedication and support, which led to the recovery of the baby.
The government said the cooperation between security personnel, traditional leaders, and members of the community played a major role in resolving the incident.
Officials also reassured residents of the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens, especially in healthcare facilities across the state.
“The recovery of the newborn has brought relief and joy to the family, residents of Kaura Namoda, and the entire Zamfara State,” the statement read.
