Wike Backed-PDP Produces Candidates For 12 Federal Constituencies In Bauchi

Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike-backed Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), led by Abdulrahman Mohammed, on Sunday conducted House of Representatives primary elections in the 12 federal constituencies of Bauchi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The chairman of the House of Representatives Primary Election Committee for Bauchi State, Alhaji Ali Ibrahim, announced the results of the exercise yesterday in Bauchi after the affirmation process held on May 17, 2026.

According to him, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP constituted the committee to oversee the conduct of the primaries across the state.

Ali Ibrahim stated that following the screening and clearance of aspirants by the party’s National Working Committee, the cleared aspirants were presented to delegates and party members for affirmation in line with the party’s constitution and the 2026 electoral guidelines.

He explained that at the end of the affirmation exercise, delegates unanimously endorsed the following candidates as the party’s flag bearers for the 2027 House of Representatives elections which include Khalid Barau Ningi – Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency; Zahradeen Aminu Abubakar – Shira/Giade Federal Constituency; Hussaini A. Umar – Toro Federal Constituency; and Abubakar Usman – Ganjuwa/Darazo Federal Constituency.

Other PDP candidates include Idris Yusuf Duguri – Alkaleri/Kirfi Federal Constituency; Abdullahi Musa Tela – Zaki Federal Constituency; Shehu Yakubu – Jama’are/Itas-Gadau Federal Constituency; Ahmad Muhammad Dambam – Misau/Dambam Federal Constituency; Muhammad Garba Dogo – Katagum Federal Constituency and Isah Mohammed Wabu – Gamawa Federal Constituency.

The rest includes Maryam Garba Bagel – Dass/Tafawa Balewa/Bogoro Federal Constituency and Aliyu Abdullahi – Bauchi Federal Constituency.

Ali Ibrahim congratulated the successful candidates and wished them success in the forthcoming general elections. He also expressed appreciation to the leadership of the PDP for giving him and other committee members the opportunity to serve during the conduct of the primaries.
