Ex-NPHCDA Boss, Shuaib, Wins APC Nasarawa West Senatorial Ticket

A former Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHDA )Dr. Faisal Shuaib has secured the Nasarawa West Senatorial Ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

 

Dr. Shuaib, who is the sole contender for the ticket emerged through affirmation.

 

The ex NPHDA boss had withdrew from the governorship race to strengthen the aspiration of Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada who also.hailed.from the western zone.

 

He later picked the party’s nomination and expression forms to vie for the Senate.

 

Declaring him winner at the coalition point in Keffi, the Returning Officer of the APC National Assembly Primary Elections committee for Nasarawa State, Musa Shuaibu Guri , described the process as peaceful across Keffi, Toto, Nasarawa, Kokona and Karu.

He said the candidate polled 98,614 votes through an affirmation process.

 

He commented Governor, Abdullahi Sule for providing an enabling environment and giving the needed cooperation to the committee to discharge its duties without any interference during the APC national assembly primary elections in the state.

 

“The aspirant, Faisal Shuaib polled a total of 98,614 votes through an affirmation process. Therefore, as the Returning Officer for the Nasarawa West Senatorial Primary Election of the APC, I hearby declare him as the winner of the primary election,” Guri said.
