Jumoke Odetola Excited As Alma Mater Honours Her

Yoruba actress Jumoke Odetola is celebrating a major milestone after receiving recognition from her alma mater, Ajayi Crowther University.

Sharing a video on her Instagram page, the actress expressed her excitement about being invited to serve as a guest speaker for the institution’s distinguished personality lecture. She also revealed that students of the Theatre Arts department would be celebrating her during the event.

Reflecting on the achievement, Jumoke noted how emotional it felt to return to the university in such an honoured capacity after having once been a student there.

“I was once a student here, and now, the great Ajayi Crowther University is my alma mater. Now, I have been invited to serve as a guest speaker for the distinguished personality lecture, where the Theatre Arts students will also be celebrating Jumoke Oyetola. Isn’t that exciting?” she said.

Last year, the actress gave fans a glimpse into her academic journey, stating that the more she learns, the more she realises there is still so much knowledge to acquire.

Two years ago, Jumoke returned to higher education to pursue a Master of Business Administration degree, explaining that her decision was driven by her passion for learning and personal growth.
