Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the ongoing reconstruction of the collapsed Namnai Bridge in Gassol Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Kefas, who gave the commendation during an inspection visit to the project site, expressed satisfaction with the Federal Government’s intervention and commitment to completing the bridge within the schedule.

The Governor said the government would continue to closely monitor the project to ensure timely delivery, as it reflected a shared commitment between the state and federal governments.

He noted that the bridge project was vital to easing movement and boosting socio-economic activities in the area, as well as critical to improving connectivity and infrastructure in the state.

Also speaking, the Minister of State for Regional Development, Barr. Uba Ahmadu Maigari said the Federal Government, through the North East Development Commission (NEDC), had awarded six bridge projects across Taraba State.

Barr. Maigari said work on the projects was already underway, reaffirming the Federal Government’s readiness to collaborate with the state government to ensure their successful and timely completion.
