Brazil head coach, Carlo Ancelotti has provided clarity on his team’s plans for their Group C opener against Morocco on June 13.

Following Brazil’s 2-0 friendly victory over Egypt at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, a match that featured goals from young star Endrick and midfielder Bruno Guimarães, Ancelotti confidently stated that he has already decided on his starting eleven.

“Yes, I have the starting XI for Morocco. I have a definite plan,” he remarked in a post-match interview.

The Italian manager, in his first international role, praised his team’s performance for 60 minutes, noting their high pressing and balance in both defense and attack.

However, he also issued a stern warning about a brief five-minute lapse in concentration that allowed Egypt back into the game.

“We executed well, but we lost focus for a brief five-minute period in the first half, and we paid the price,” Ancelotti said. “In a World Cup, there are no second chances to correct those errors”.

Despite this concern, he remained optimistic, viewing the mistake as a valuable lesson.

“I’m not concerned; it’s preferable to have these wake-up calls now rather than next Saturday”.
