The chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have called on party members to utilise the remaining 28-day window to register for the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).

The chairmen, under the auspices of the Forum of State APC Chairmen, made the call in a communiqué issued at the end of their inaugural meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

The state chairmen met for the first time since their election and re-election during the APC’s March congresses.

Presenting the communiqué to journalists at a press conference, the forum’s chairman and Lagos State APC Chairman, Hon. Cornelius Ojelabi, congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his emergence as the party’s candidate for the 2027 general election.

The forum also sympathised with families and victims affected by insecurity across the nation and commended the efforts of President Tinubu in addressing the challenge.

“The inaugural meeting of the Forum of State APC Chairmen was convened on June 11, 2026, at Valencia Hotel, Abuja.

“The meeting was attended by State Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“After extensive deliberations on party affairs and national issues, the Forum resolved as follows:

“Congratulations to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on his emergence as the candidate of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“Sympathises with the families and victims of insecurity across the nation and commends the efforts of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Congratulations to the National Chairman and other members of the National Working Committee of our great party for the successful and peaceful conduct of the primaries. The Forum also congratulates all candidates who emerged across the 36 states and the FCT.
