Nigerian-American actress and model, Adunni Ade, has opened up about motherhood and the values that shape her life.

In a social media post, she said becoming a mother taught her that a meaningful life does not have to follow other people’s ideas of success.

The actress said she now chooses peace over pressure, purpose over perfection and happiness over public approval. According to her, living life on one’s own terms is one of the strongest decisions a woman can make.

The mother of three said her journey is guided by love, growth and gratitude. She described her children as her daily source of inspiration. Adunni also encouraged other mothers to trust themselves, adding that every woman has the right to write her own story.

“Motherhood taught me that life doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s version of success to be beautiful.

“These days, I have always moved differently. I choose peace over pressure, purpose over perfection, and happiness over outside opinions. I learnt that the most powerful thing a woman can do is live life on her own terms unapologetically.

“My journey may not look like what others expected, but it’s filled with love, growth, gratitude, and the little hands that remind me every day why I keep going.

“To every mother carving her own path: trust yourself. Your story is yours to write, and there is beauty in every chapter.”
