Tinubu made the appeal during his South South  zonal  town hall meeting to Calabar where he met with party  stakeholders at the cultural centre in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

Recall that Owan-Enoh, an APC governorship aspirants, but lost to Senator Bassey Otu at the party primaries conducted by the party leadership  in May, 2022 where Otu emerged as the party flagbearer.

Senator Owan Enoh had dragged the party and Otu to the court, alleging that Otu was not the authentic flag bearer instead he is the winner of  the primaries.

Owan however headed for the Appeal Court after losing to Otu at the high court.

For Mary Ekpere Eta, also an APC senatorial aspirant for Cross River Central Senatorial district, she contested for the senate seat for the party primary but unfortunately lost to the present speaker of Cross River State House  of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Jonas Eteng Williams.

The APC presidential candidate, who called the aggrieved party men to the stage shortly before the kick-off of the just concluded  town hall meeting, stated that ” for Mary Ekpere Eta, she and I didn’t start today, we have been friends long ago.

“And Senator John Owan-Enoh, no matter what, you are bound to be disappointed as far as you are human but please, withdraw your lawsuits. Let us work together.

“That would have been the end of my speech where those two deflate the balloon of anger and get back together.”

In his words, the APC presidential candidate said, “I am a front will driver, driving Nigeria forward is the only reason I am running.

“Division, anger, braking apart will not solve Nigeria problem. It is only building a team of intellectuals, visionaries that we can build a great Nigeria.”

The APC presidential candidate lauded the the Cross River State governor, Prof. Ben Ayade for his industrialization drive that brought Cross River State to   limelight and commended senator Florence Ita Giwa for the roles played during the struggling day for Bakassi to be given recognition.
