The Supreme Court of Puerto Rico has dismissed several legal claims brought against global music star Bad Bunny by his former girlfriend, Carliz De La Cruz Hernández.

The legal dispute centers on a voice recording of the phrase “Bad Bunny, baby,” which De La Cruz claims she recorded on her phone in 2015. She sued the artist, alleging he used her distinct voice without her permission in his 2017 single “Pa Ti” and his later track “Dos Mil 16.”

According to court sources, the Supreme Court ruled that all claims regarding the song “Pa Ti” are now officially dismissed because the time limit to file them has expired.

However, the ruling does not completely clear the musician. The court decided that some of De La Cruz’s other claims have enough merit to move past the early dismissal stage. These remaining issues will continue to be argued in the Puerto Rico Court of First Instance.

This is not the only voice-related legal challenge the singer is currently facing. Earlier this year, another woman, Tainaly Serrano Rivera, filed a separate lawsuit claiming Bad Bunny used unauthorized recordings of her voice on his tracks “Solo de Mí” and “EoO.”2e7098dc58ae4ff1bac2225bc48ef37a md f8a9d3d122724f4893352196cfa611c4 md aefada8c886848569c860432f46d864a md
