Efab Properties has reaffirmed its claim of ownership over a disputed parcel of land in Abuja, with supporters urging the Federal Government and relevant authorities to ensure that the matter is resolved through due process.
The position was highlighted at a press conference in Abuja organised by The Mighty One Empowerment Foundation and a coalition of civil society organisations. The groups said the land belongs to Efab Properties and called for the protection of what they described as the company’s legitimate property rights.
Speaking at the event, the Founder of The Mighty One Empowerment Foundation, Professor Barika Saro-Laka, said Efab Properties remains the rightful owner of the land and appealed to the relevant authorities to safeguard the property while all outstanding issues are resolved through lawful procedures.
The coalition urged President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of Defence, the National Security Adviser and the Chief of Army Staff to ensure that the dispute is handled in accordance with the rule of law and established legal processes.
The groups also advised prospective investors and members of the public to exercise caution and verify all relevant documentation before entering into any transaction relating to the property until the ownership issues are fully resolved.
According to the coalition, its intervention is aimed at supporting the protection of Efab Properties’ ownership claim and encouraging a peaceful and lawful resolution of the dispute.
