50 Cent Confirms Eminem and 2Pac Collaboration for Street Fighter Movie Soundtrack

50 Cent has disclosed that he and Eminem have teamed up with the late rap icon 2Pac on a new song created for the upcoming Street Fighter movie soundtrack.

The rapper and actor made the announcement during an appearance on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle on Friday, leaving the show’s hosts stunned when he disclosed the unexpected collaboration.

“I got some music that I’m working on. I did something currently with me, Eminem and 2Pac,” 50 Cent said.

Addressing questions about how the track came together, the G-Unit founder explained that 2Pac’s vocals were officially cleared by the late rapper’s estate and stressed that no artificial intelligence was used.

“They delivered it. It’s for the theme of Street Fighter, the movie. We worked on it and got it right,” he said, adding that the song is expected to be released “soon.”

The announcement comes months after 50 Cent first hinted at working with Eminem on music for the film. In December, he wrote on Instagram: “I’m gonna get @eminem on deck to make some music for this movie Street Fighter. New Music on the way!” At the time, he made no mention of 2Pac’s involvement.

The live-action Street Fighter reboot is scheduled to open in U.S. cinemas on October 16. Alongside contributing to the soundtrack, 50 Cent will portray Balrog in the film, joining a cast that includes Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, Orville Peck and WWE star Roman Reigns.

50 Cent and Eminem last collaborated on “Gunz N Smoke,” a track from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s 2024 album Missionary. The pair have also delivered several fan-favourite songs over the years, including “Patiently Waiting,” “Don’t Push Me,” “Gatman & Robin” and “You Don’t Know.”

A release date for the new Street Fighter soundtrack has not yet been announced.
