Serie A champions Inter Milan have secured the signing of experienced England center-back John Stones on a free transfer, inking the 32-year-old to a two-year deal following his departure from Manchester City.
Stones, who ended a decade-long tenure at the Etihad after his contract expired in June, brings a trophy-laden résumé to San Siro, including six Premier League titles and a Champions League crown.
The defender attracted interest from Chelsea and Juventus before committing to Inter, who open their title defense on August 22 against promoted Monza.
The 93-cap England international, who featured in this summer’s World Cup semifinal run, made 295 appearances for City since his 2016 move from Everton.
