A House of Representatives candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State, Abba Bello Mohammed, died Friday evening in Abuja after a brief illness, the family said yesterday.

Abba was the son of a former PDP national chairman, Dr Bello Haliru Mohammed.
Our correspondent yesterday gathered from his family in Birnin Kebbi that he left Birnin Kebbi Tuesday for Abuja.

Many sympathisers, mostly youths and women were seeing in front of his house in Birnin Kebbi to mourn him yesterday. He was expected to be buried in Abuja yesterday.
