The Arewa Community APC in the 17 Southern States has congratulated Alhaji Comrade Yerima Shettima on his appointment as Director, Labour Union Relations II in the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
Speaking in Gusau the Zamfara State capital on Sunday Prince Alhaji Aliyu Bambado II, Galadima of Lagos I and Advisory Leader of Arewa Community APC, Lagos and 17 Southern States described Shettima’s appointment as well-deserved.
He noted that Shettima, a vocal voice in the Northern socio-political landscape, has been a frontline leader of the Arewa Youth Consultative Forum AYCF, Northern Stakeholders Consultative Initiative NSCI, a member of Pastor Tunde Bakare’s Save Nigeria Group, and a stakeholder in NADECO alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“Alhaji Yerima Shettima has contributed tremendously to community development, conflict resolution, and political mobilization in Lagos and across the South West. His emergence as Deputy National Chairman of the Young Democrats Party YDP also underscores his commitment to public service,” the statement said.
The group prayed for Allah’s guidance and strength for him as he works toward the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, in 2027.
They described the appointment as “a sign that the reward of hard work is more work” and urged Shettima to continue upholding the values of loyalty, integrity and service to humanity.
