Former Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Victor Ikpe, popularly known as Keivo, has spoken out following his disqualification from the reality show, accepting responsibility for the physical confrontation that brought his participation to an abrupt end.

Keivo addressed the incident in a statement posted on his X account on Thursday, days after he was removed from the competition following a physical altercation with fellow housemate Tram.

Reflecting on the incident, the former housemate acknowledged that his reaction was inappropriate and said he accepted responsibility for his actions.

“I’ve had some time to reflect on everything that happened and I take full responsibility for my actions. My emotions took the best of me. Regardless of how strongly I felt, physical confrontation is never a solution to any situation. And I take full responsibility for my actions,” he wrote.

LEADERSHIP reports that Keivo was disqualified from the ‘Show Ya Sef’ season on Tuesday after a disagreement with Tram escalated into a physical confrontation.

Big Brother subsequently determined that Keivo was responsible for the incident and ordered his immediate exit from the competition.

Following his disqualification, Keivo said he intended to use the experience as an opportunity for personal growth and promised to emerge from the setback a better person.

“I will learn, become better, and do my very best to make you proud of Keivo the Challenger, the Competitor, the man of many talents, the son of Grace, the VICTOR,” he wrote.

He also expressed appreciation to Big Brother and MultiChoice for providing him with the opportunity to participate in the reality television show.

“Being in the house, sharing my story, connecting with amazing people and showing myself, I will never take that for granted,” he said.

The former housemate extended his gratitude to his family, friends and supporters who stood by him throughout his time on the show, including those who had hoped to see him progress to the final.

“I came into Big Brother’s house hoping Nigerians would see who I am. I leave knowing that millions of people did. Thank you for loving me at my best, and thank you for holding me accountable for my actions,” he wrote.

Keivo had been among the contestants competing for the Season 11 grand prize before his disqualification.

Looking ahead, he said he was relying on God for “mercy, wisdom, grace, and strength” as he begins a new phase of his life.

“I trust that he has a purpose for every chapter, including this one. I will continue to trust him,” he wrote.

He concluded his message by thanking members of the Big Brother community for their support and wishing Nigerians a happy Independence Day.
