Disregard The Divorce Report, My Family Is Intact And In God’s Hands” – Okey Bakassi

Nigerian comedian and actor Okechukwu Anthony Onyegbule, popularly known as Okey Bakassi, has debunked a viral divorce report of him and his wife.

The comedian addressed this on his social media page, calling the fake report disturbing and disrespectful. He clarified that his wife was in Canada, not the US, and that they are still together and recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary there.

He also dismissed claims that his wife is a nurse, describing the publication as malicious. He urged netizens to report the originator of the fake news on X for violating the rules.

He maintained that his family is intact and in God’s hands.

“It’s so disrespectful and sad that, out of desperation to get views or create viral content, someone will go to the extent of spreading fake news about my very happy family. Please, my family, friends and fans, disregard any story that my wife and I are having issues. It’s the work of evil, senseless people. Please help me report the originator’s page for this fake news on X (Twitter) for violating the rules. My family is intact and in God’s hands”.

Last week, Bakassi had publicly celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

He shared a video collage of them and their three kids, recalling how they first met, how their pursuit of higher education pulled them apart, and how destiny brought them back together. The veteran actor said he and his wife weren’t chasing records or trying to prove people wrong; they were living their lives and showing themselves they’d made the right decision.
