The managing director of D.I. Gear Limited, Emmanuel Shoon Patrick, has called for due process in resolving a dispute involving Fidelis Anosike and publications he alleged were intended to damage his reputation.

Shoon said allegations and disputes involving individuals should be subjected to proper investigation and judicial determination.

A letter dated 24th March, 2026, from the Directorate of Legal Services of the Nigeria Police Force stated that Anosike was invited for an interview regarding an investigation into a petition alleging criminal defamation, communal intimidation and cyberstalking.

The letter, signed by CP Aremu Bamidele Silas, deputy director (Administration), directed Anosike to appear on 30th March, 2026, at 11 a.m.

The invitation letter did not state the outcome of the investigation.

Shoon, in a statement he issued to journalists, raised concerns about a publication alleging that he was tracked and arrested in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and described the report as false.

He said he had drawn the attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to the publication but expressed dissatisfaction with what he described as the commission’s failure to address the matter.

The managing director said he had confidence in the judiciary and expected the issues to be resolved in accordance with the law.

He also urged media organisations to exercise due diligence before publishing reports that could damage the reputation of individuals and businesses.

Shoon disclosed that he was involved in court proceedings against Anosike and some media organisations over publications concerning him and one of his companies.
